摘要

This invention is focusing on the problem of finding a reliable comparison of images under differing ambient light conditions successfully and introducing new metric-Structural Metric Estimations with Resilience to Ambient Light (SMERAL), as a solution. The novel approach presented here shows a better performance than the older versions of structural property estimations for image comparison. SMERAL is useful in any system where cameras are connected and they are used for comparing two or more scenes either captured by the same camera or captured by the different cameras. It also works at different ambient light with high reliability except for total darkness either in one scene or both.
