The present invention relates to a process for isolating at least one of saponins and flavonoids from Bryophyllum pinnatum plants, more particularly, to a process for separating and isolating at least one of saponins and flavonoids by extraction of Bryophyllum pinnatum fresh leaves. The present invention also provides saponins and/or flavonoids rich extract from Bryophyllum pinnatum fresh leaves obtained by novel process. The present invention also provides the use saponins and/or flavonoids rich extract from Bryophyllum pinnatum fresh leaves for the treatment of urolithiasis.
