The invention relates to medicine, particularly to plastic surgery and may be used for plasty of large skin defects.According to the invention, the claimed method consists in that it is carried out an incision at the level of the scar, it is introduced an expander under the intact adjacent skin and it is filled with physiologic saline every 2…4 days, each time adding to the expander 20…50 ml of saline up to the sensation of pain, after receiving the sufficient extension of the skin for plasty, it is excised the scar, is removed the expander and is carried out the plasty, at the same time the skin, under which is introduced the expander, starting from the second day, every day, is irradiated 10 min with polychrome light with the wavelength of 480…3400 nm, the density of 2.4 J/cm2 and the power of 40 mW, up to 30 days.
