Use of specific CTLA4 molecules for preventing the development of rheumatoid arthritis in subjects with undifferentiated arthritis

Provided is the use of a CTLA4 molecule in the preparation of a medicament for treating undifferentiated arthritis, wherein the CTLA4 molecule binds CD80 and/or CD86 and comprises an extracellular domain of CTLA4 with a specified sequence, and beginning with alanine at position 26 or methionine at position 27 and ending with aspartic acid at position 150. Further provided is the use of CTLA4 encoding nucleic acid (ATCC No 68629) in the preparation of a medicament for treating undifferentiated arthritis.
