CABLE DIGITAL TELEVISION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING DATA EXCHANGE VIA WIRELESS TERMINAL

A cable digital television system and method for performing data exchange via wireless terminal are provided. The system includes: a digital television reception terminal for receiving a playing instruction, receiving video data transmitted from a server via a cable digital network and playing the video; a wireless transceiver module for receiving the playing instruction and transmitting the playing instruction to the digital television reception terminal; a wireless device for receiving information data including links of playing contents, selecting service information to generate service requests, transmitting the service requests to the server, and transmitting the playing instruction to the wireless transceiver module; the server for receiving the service requests from the wireless device and transmitting the video data, which the wireless device requests, to the digital television reception terminal via the cable digital network. The system and the method realize the exchange with the server via the wireless device, do not need the digital television reception terminal to access a front-end server page, thus on a unidirectional digital television terminal, realize a bidirectional digital television service which is similar to Video-on-Demand (VOD).
