Provided is a smart diagnosis system for passenger motor vehicles. The smart diagnosis system mainly comprises: a vehicle-mounted communication interface module including a diagnosis information interface and a wireless communication interface; terminal software for receiving and processing vehicle information; a manufacturer service center for analyzing data and providing remote professional diagnosis and service. The vehicle-mounted communication interface module is mounted in the vehicle; the diagnosis information interface receives information on CAN (Controller Area Network), K-line and J1850 buses on the vehicle; the wireless communication interface sends the information to a platform installed with the terminal software. The customer can obtain information such as the state of the vehicle, fuel economy, wear-out, emission, and fault, etc. through the terminal software; the terminal software also can analyze the data and provide information such as whether the vehicle needs to be tuned up, whether the driving habit of a driver is good, as well as monthly or yearly carbon emission, etc. for the user to view; the terminal software further can provide professional diagnosis service; and if the customer is not familiar with such professional information, the data can be sent to the manufacturer service center to obtain efficient diagnosis and service. Also provided is a diagnosis method for passenger motor vehicles.
