摘要

PURPOSE: An ISS(Idle stop and start) control device and a method thereof using brake control status detection are provided to prevent an engine from frequently converting an idle start status or an idle stop status by reducing waiting time in an ISS conversion condition, thereby preventing engine problems and battery discharges.;CONSTITUTION: An ISS control device using brake control status detection comprises a status detecting unit(61), an automatic breaking process unit(62), and an operation converting unit(63). The status detecting unit detects a stopping status of a vehicle through a speed sensor(70) that detects the speed of the vehicle and a braking status of a brake pedal through a brake pedal switch that detects the status of the brake pedal. The automatic breaking process unit keeps the vehicle in a stopped status even though a driver doesn't step on the brake pedal after a predetermined first standby time, and controls a solenoid valve assembly. The operation converting unit changes a vehicle engine(101) to the idle stop status after a predetermined second waiting time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
