METHOD FOR COOLING THE LIGHT SOURCE PART OF A BALLAST WATER TREATING APPARATUS BASED ON AN ULTRAVIOLET RAY-BASED LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND THE BALLAST WATER TREATING APPARATUS USING THE SAME CAPABLE OF PREVENTING THE EFFICIENCY REDUCTION OF THE APPARATUS DUE TO THE HEAT EMISSION OF THE ULTRAVIOLET RAY-BASED LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
PURPOSE: A method for cooling the light source part of a ballast water treating apparatus based on an ultraviolet ray-based light emitting diode and the ballast water treating apparatus using the same are provided to efficiently cool the ultraviolet ray-based light emitting diode forming the light source part based on the natural circulation of ballast water without separate power.;CONSTITUTION: A coolant inlet(10) is curved and installed at the inner side of the entrance of an inlet(2a). The introducing end part of the coolant inlet is toward the entrance of the inlet. The entrance of a flow path through the heat sink of a light source part is in connection with the coolant inlet. A coolant outlet(12) is curved and installed at the inner side of the exit of the inlet. The exit of the flow path is in connection with the coolant outlet. Pressure differences generated at the end parts of the coolant inlet and the coolant outlet naturally circulate a part of ballast water to cool the light source part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
