PURPOSE: A device for detecting drowsiness and drunken driving and a detecting method are provided to install anywhere in inside a vehicle without requiring installation of camera module like a camera in front of an operator.;CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting drowsiness and drunken driving(100) comprises a sensor unit(110) and a central control unit(122). The sensor unit senses infrared ray vented from an operator and outputs the detected result as an infrared sensing value in order to sense whether the operator is on board or not. The central control unit is input the infrared sensing value from the sensor unit in logic signal and a driving speed value of a vehicle and a body temperature value of an operator from a vehicle system. The central control unit detects drowsiness and drunken driving of the operator by mixing the infrared sensing value, the driving speed value, and the body temperature value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
