PURPOSE: An image protection device for protecting privacy, an image security system thereof and a method thereof are provided to prevent unintentional invasion of privacy while maintaining the main purpose of a monitoring system.;CONSTITUTION: A face region detecting unit(3121) detects a target region for protection from a collected image. A protection processing unit(3122) applies a privacy protection algorithm to a detected target region for protection. The protection processing unit generates a protection processed image with a recognition disabled region. A storage managing unit(3123) stores/manages the protection processed image.
