METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY OF BRIDGES

PURPOSE: A trafficability calculation method of a bridge is provided to effectively prevent economical damages according to a traffic jam by effectively calculating the trafficability of the bridge. CONSTITUTION: A model parameter of a bridge is calculated by using acceleration signals acquired from an accelerometer installed on the bridge(S1,S2). An interpreted model of the bridge is updated by using the calculated model parameter(S3). First stress generated on the bridge is calculated by applying fixed weight to the interpreted model(S4a). Second stress generated on the bridge is calculated(S4b). The trafficability of the bridge is calculated by using the first stress and the second stress(S5).
