PURPOSE: A localization wire for video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for a pulmonary nodule is provided to prevent a medical malpractice for being generated by preventing a localization wire from being separated.;CONSTITUTION: A localization wire(10) is composed of a needle(20) fixed to the site of a pulmonary nodule and a thread(30) connected to the needle. A plurality of hooks(22) is formed at one end of the needle. The hook supports the localization wire by being inserted into parenchyma near the pulmonary nodule. The hook is spread to radial around one end of the needle. The thread is connected to the other end of the needle which is opposite to one end having the hook. The thread is composed of sealing fiber. The thread is loosely connected to the other end of the needle into a spiral shape. The hook is fixed to the site of the pulmonary nodule.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
