MECHANOCHEMICAL VERSUS SOL-GEL SILICA LOADING OF PHENOLATE- AND ACETATE-BRIDGED DIZINC SCHIFF BASE COMPLEXES: TOWARD INSTANT AND INEXPENSIVE HYBRIDS FOR CONTROLLED BINDING AND RELEASE OF ZN 2+ ION IN PURE WATER
PURPOSE: A method for preparing a hybrid using mechanochemical method of silica and Schiff base compounds is provided to control release of Zn^2+. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid material of rlysH2 and silica is used for sensing copper or zinc ions in an aqueous solution. A hybrid material of silica and amino acid schiff base compounds of Zn2(slysH)2Cl2 or Zn2(rslysH)2(u-OAc)2 is used for sensing the copper ions in the aqueous solution. The base compounds have a functional group-substituted structure. A method for preparing the hybrid material of amino acid Schiff base compounds and silica comprises: a step of mixing silica gel and pulverizing; a step of extracting and removing the amino acid Schiff base compounds by distilled water; and a step of removing a solvent using a vacuum pump.
