SHELL CORE FOR CASTING USING CHROMITE SAND AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A shell core for casting using chromite sand and a manufacturing method using chromite sand are provided to prevent generation of shrinkage cavity deformity in thick portion of casting by enhancing thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a shell core for casting using chromite sand comprises the following steps: forming a heavy body(210) by separating specific part according to shapes of the casting; forming chromite sand in which 40-45% of Cr2O3 is included in order for molten metal at a corresponding site due to thermal conductivity improvement to rapidly solidify; and combining formed heavy body with middle specific part. The middle specific part is corresponded to thick portion of the casting.
