PURPOSE: An authentication system in wireless local area network(WLAN) environment and a method for the same are provided to use reinforced authentication certification-based authentication method without an authentication certificate downloading process by issuing extensible authentication protocol(EAP)-based terminal authentication certificate to a terminal.;CONSTITUTION: An authentication device(300) executes a designated pre-authentication process by the authentication request of a terminal(100) and extracts a stored terminal authentication certificate in case of the success of the authentication. The terminal authentication certificate is provided to the terminal. A WLAN connecting device(200) authenticates connected terminals based on the authentication certificate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
