PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to form a cholesteric color filter layer, thereby increasing optical efficiency of the liquid crystal display device.;CONSTITUTION: A cholesteric color filter layer(120) is arranged on a first substrate(110). A sub color filter layer(130) is arranged on the cholesteric color filter layer. The sub color filter layer transmits light of a fixed wavelength range wherein the light is transmitted from a frontal side of the cholesteric color filter layer. The sub color filter layer filters light of a wavelength band except for light of the fixed wavelength band at a side viewing angle of the cholesteric color filter layer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
