PURPOSE: A sheath material composition for a power cable is provided to able to provide sheathing with excellent physical properties regarding tensile strength, elongation, tear strength, etc and flame retardancy.;CONSTITUTION: A sheath material composition for power cable comprises, by weight, 100.0 parts of a base resin, 60-100.0 parts of a flame retardant, and 2-10 parts of a red phosphor flame retardant. The base resin is a mixed resin which is 80-90 wt% metallocene linear low-density polyethylene resin, which is polymerized with the presence of a metallocene catalyst, and 10-20 wt% ethylene copolymer resin. The melt index(MI) of the metallocene linear low density polyethylene resin is 1-16.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
