PURPOSE: A method for calculating a carbon dioxide output of a water purification process, a carbon dioxide output calculator in a computer readable recording media for recording a program which implements the method, and a water treatment process are provided to calculate the carbon dioxide output by classifying a water treatment process as a plurality of unit processes. CONSTITUTION: A water treatment process is classified as a plurality of unit processes(S110). Carbon dioxide output variables corresponding to the unit processes are determined(S130). Carbon dioxide outputs generated in the unit processes are individually calculated based on the carbon dioxide output variables(S150). Mechanical causes and chemical causes of the carbon dioxide output are classified for each of the unit processes.
