PURPOSE: A system and a method for estimating surface defects of a product during a continuous casting process are provided to indirectly estimate surface defects on a coil from the width of continuous cast slab and the thickness of the coil.;CONSTITUTION: A system for estimating surface defects of a product during a continuous casting process comprises a memory(140) and a control unit(150).
