PURPOSE: A method for calculating single-side spring stiffness of a tubular torsion beam suspension is provided to simply calculate single-side spring stiffness by expressing design variable of tubular torsion beam to a function. CONSTITUTION: A method for calculating single-side spring stiffness of a tubular torsion beam suspension is as follows. A unit vector of a rotary shaft in which a tire and a wheel rotate is calculated(S10). A tubular beam is divided to a serial connection of infinitesimal length and a torsional rigidity is calculated(S20). The difference between wheel center coordinate and bushing center point coordinate is changed to a hard point function(S30). The rate of change of a torsion angle to a wheel center vertical displacement is calculated(S40). The rate of change of a camber angle to the wheel center vertical displacement is calculated(S50). The single-side equivalent spring stiffness of the torsion beam in the wheel center is calculated(S60).
