A preparation method of red ginseng extracts for maximal utilization of lipid soluble and water soluble bioactive components in red ginseng

Disclosed is a continuous extraction process for maximum recovery of lipid-soluble ingredients having anticancer activities from ginseng through extraction using hexane and, at the same time, for recovery of water-soluble bioactive ingredients such as saponin and/or acidic polysaccharides without loss thereof from ginseng marc remained after the hexane extraction, through hot water extraction. As a result, a method for preparation of ginseng extracts for maximally recovering and utilizing lipid-soluble and water-soluble bioactive components from ginseng is provided.
