FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to children's neurology. Reflex is induced by pressure on lumbar quadrate muscle from both sides by encompassing child's body at the waist level. If in one month old child extension and adduction of legs are identified, neurologic health is diagnosed, if reflex is absent or reduced, affection of central nervous system (CNS) is diagnosed.;EFFECT: invention extends arsenal of means for studying unconditioned reflexes in children of first months of life, which is especially important for children with large weight.;1 tbl, 3 ex
