The seat (100) has a seat body (2) comprising a blow-molded part. A seat cushion (1) is thermally merged with a covered surface area of the seat body along a boundary surface (3). The seat body and the seat cushion are made from a thermoplastic plastic material e.g. ethylene-vinyl acetate, polyethylene or polypropylene. The seat cushion is made from a foam material e.g. ethylene-vinyl acetate, polyurethane, polyethylene or polypropylene. A backrest of the seat body comprises an opening, where upper boundary of opening forms a handle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a blow mold seat.
