The method involves sending a signal by a transmitter (S1), sending another signal with equaled amplitude course or carrier frequency by a transmitter, and changing phases (S5) i.e. time displacements, between the signals. A phase value is determined when receiving quality of a receiving signal reaches maximum or exceeds a threshold value, where the receiving signal is formed by mutual superimpositions of the signals. The phase is adjusted depending on the determined phase value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hearing instrument system comprising transmitters (2) a data receiving device for wireless transmission of data from a hearing instrument system.
