The drive has an automated gear box including transmission input shafts (W-1, W-3) and a transmission output shaft (W-2) axially arranged parallel to each other. Switchable idle gears (z12-z15, z31-z34) and association of gear switching devices (S1-S4) are arranged on the input shafts. The input shafts are coupled together on an input side of an input wheel set plane (Z1). The input shafts are rotatably arranged in one of the switchable idle gears via the respective gear switching device. The input wheel set plane is provided with non-switchable intermediate gears (z21, z21a).
