The vehicle has a power converter comprising a housing (2) containing an inlet nozzle (3) and an air outlet aperture (4) i.e. water drain aperture, where the inlet nozzle is attached to a compressed air unit (1). The inlet nozzle is formed as a swirl pipe and mounted on the housing such that the swirl pipe produces cold air stream to the housing. The compressed air unit is attached to a brake assembly of the rail-mounted vehicle, where pressurized air from the compressed air unit is injected into the inlet nozzle of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for cooling a power converter of a rail vehicle.
