The soot sensor (1) has a sensor element, by which an inter digital electrode structure (3) is formed on a substrate (17). An inlet is provided with a high temperature-resistant covering, in which three electrical lines are arranged. The electrical lines are projected at a hot end of the inlet from the high temperature-resistant covering into a free chamber and are connected with the sensor element. The high temperature-resistant covering is closed with two closure elements (15,16) at two ends, where the former closure element is formed as a glass seal.
