The method involves generating a primary image (12) comprising portion of examination object (13) or entire examination object in examination region (11). The examination region in the primary image is reproduced using a collimator diaphragm to produce a secondary image (15). The primary and secondary images are superimposed corresponding to the examination region in the primary image to form X-ray image (17) of the object.
