Regulating temperature of fluid streams in a coating apparatus (10), preferably in a plant for producing paper, tissue or cardboard web, comprises heating an application medium in a reservoir (2) and maintaining temperature, and promoting the temperature-controlled application medium (1) into a feed line from the reservoir to an applicator nozzle and then to the fibrous web; and heating water in a water tub (4) for temperature control of the application nozzle (3) and holding the temperature, and pumping by water circulation line through application nozzle for tempering application nozzle. Regulating temperature of fluid streams in a coating apparatus (10), preferably in a plant for producing paper, tissue or cardboard web, comprises heating an application medium in a reservoir (2) and maintaining temperature, and promoting the tempered application medium (1) into a feed line from the reservoir to an applicator nozzle and then to the fibrous web; and heating water in a water tub (4) for temperature control of the application nozzle (3) and holding the temperature, and pumping by a water circulation line through the application nozzle for tempering the application nozzle, where the temperature of the application medium in reservoir and the temperature of the heating water in the water tub are regulated by means of a first control, where the temperature control of the application medium and the heating water in the feed lines between reservoir or water tub and application nozzle takes place by a second superior control using at least one sensor present in the feed lines. An independent claim is also included for a device for regulating temperature of fluid streams in a coating apparatus, preferably in a plant for producing paper, tissue or cardboard web.
