The method involves applying tactile stimuli to persons at remote sites who communicate through a telecommunication link, by the actuation units such as drive unit (2), pump (3), valve (4), spacer (6), servomotor (8), etc,. The emotional states of the persons generated by the tactile stimuli are detected and mediated so that the person in receiver side has a feeling of closeness with their communication partner. An independent claim is included for telecommunication terminal.
