Method for preventing collision of e.g. motor car with obstacle during parking in tight parking lot, involves determining whether collision of vehicle is threatened in predeterminable period based on application of simulation evaluation
The method involves automatically detecting a current steering angle, current acceleration, current velocity and/or environment (U) of a vehicle (1) when vehicle speed falls below predetermined minimum speed for the current vehicle speed. A determination is made to check whether a collision of the vehicle with an obstacle (2) detected in the vehicle environment is threatened within a predeterminable period while maintaining the current steering angle, the current vehicle acceleration and/or the current vehicle speed based on application of simulation or situation evaluation.
