Thermoplastic molding composition comprises (in wt.%): (a) an amorphous polyamide (35-100) constructed from (a1) units (30-100) derived from aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and dialkyl-substituted cycloaliphatic diamines, and (a2) units (0-70) derived from further polyamide forming monomers, which are different from (a1); and (b) further additives (0-65), where the total weight of the components (a) and (b) is 100%. An independent claim is also included for moldings, fibers and films obtainable from the thermoplastic molding compositions.
