The method involves summing functional values of extracts on a circular disk with radius around an interpolation point. Indices are varied in intervals, and local maximum of a sum value is searched, where a significant maximum exists when the sum value greater than or equal to a significant threshold value is fulfilled. A line flow path is recorded when the maximum is detected. The summation, variation, searching and recording steps are repeated for fixed amount of the point. The path is used for direction instruction during interpolation of color or brightness values of a direction card.
