The method involves arranging a test specimen in a test specimen packet (11). The packet of a test specimen arrangement (12) is exposed by an electrodynamic vibration exciter of dynamic alternating stress and in an air chamber of external temperature changing in the range from -40 degree to 150 degree, where the air chamber is coupled with the vibration exciter. The test specimen is subjected to a corrosion test during a predetermined test period in a corrosion test facility, where the test facility is separated from the air chamber. An independent claim is also included for a system for checking adhesive components in an automotive-region powertrain for determination of long-term behavior and estimation of service life.
