The method involves trimming a used roll body (1) on an outer peripheral surface and cylindrical or conical boring of a conical bore (2) of the roller body, where the roller body is slightly off-center clamped. A socket is introduced into an extended turned cylindrical or conical bore by a shrinking process. The socket is turned out in order to centrally clamp the roller body. The outer circumferential surface of the roll body is processed, and an outer surface of the socket is cylindrical or conically formed. An independent claim is also included for a prepared roll body of a roller mill comprising a roll body.
