The device (1) has an actuator (5) including unbalance exciters with respective unbalance masses rotating in opposite directions with a frequency for producing respective resultant unbalance forces. The exciters are oriented so that the unbalance forces possess a same sense of direction. A control device (2) predetermines and varies a relative phase position of one of the unbalance forces relative to the other unbalance force. The actuator is coupled with an oscillation system (9) e.g. translational oscillation system, for oscillation excitation.
