The present invention relates to novel multicomponent crystals, their preparation and their use for the treatment of pain, in particular unclear genesis, by a simultaneous action on pain caused by muscle tension or degenerative joint disease, as well as those based on inflammatory processes. The novel multicomponent crystals are composed of the active ingredients ([2-amino-6- (4-fluoro-benzylamino) -pyridin-3-yl] -carbamic acid ethyl ester (flupirtine) and 2- [2 - [(2,6-dichlorophenyl) - amino] -phenyl] -acetic acid (diclofenac) and can be prepared by dissolving the two components in a molar ratio of 1.0: 0.9 to 1.0: 1.1 in an inert organic solvent and then crystallizing out the complex compound ,
