The method involves connecting a drive shaft with a torque converter device i.e. dual clutch transmission (1), in a torque-proof manner, and detecting rotational torque-dependant moment reaction of bearings (8-11). Rotational torque producing the moment reaction is determined based on the detected moment reaction using a semi-physical or empirical model. Rotational torque on two input shafts (2, 3) and an output shaft (4) is determined based on the detected moment reaction. Another rotational torque-dependant moment reaction is detected. An independent claim is also included for a device for determination of torque affecting a drive shaft of a motor car.
