The transmitter (1) has a near field communication (NFC) module integrated with a removable housing cover (3) mounted in a housing recess (5). An NFC chip (14) is coupled with an NFC antenna coil (15). Contacts (16) are coupled with the NFC chip at an inner surface or at an edge of the housing cover. Associated contacts (18) are connected with a circuit board and components such that a voltage supply of the NFC module to the components and a signal exchange between the NFC module and the circuit board are enabled. The NFC module comprises an energy storage unit i.e. capacitor.
