The system for vapor-tight bonding of glass panes (1), is claimed, where the vapor-tight bond is produced by an adhesive tape or by post-processing with liquid adhesives or sealants. The adhesive tape is a strapless transfer adhesive tape (2), or a double-sided pressure sensitive adhesive tape comprising a transparent support. The adhesive tape has the function of a spacer between the glass panes, and is endlessly processed around the glass panes. A spacer profile is used on both sides of the adhesive tape, and comprises seal lips and an abutment that is located between the glass panes. The system for vapor-tight bonding of glass panes (1), is claimed, where the vapor-tight bond is produced by an adhesive tape or by post-processing with liquid adhesives or sealants. The adhesive tape is a strapless transfer adhesive tape (2), or a double-sided pressure sensitive adhesive tape comprising a transparent support. The adhesive tape has the function of a spacer between the glass panes, and is endlessly processed around the glass panes. A spacer profile: is used on both sides of the adhesive tape; comprises seal lips, and an abutment that is located between the glass panes to be joined for better distance control of the glass panes; and has a distance outside the panes immediately adjacent to ends of a cross bar, which is aligned with a glass pane outer edge. The spacer profile and adhesive tape are endlessly processed around the glass edge. The cross bar is also bonded to increase the bonding and sealing surface. The entire system is protection covered with a single-sided adhesive equipped sticking tyre.
