The rivet gun (1) has a spreading orifice (2) for performing and supporting the rivet during riveting process, a rivet supply pipe (3), a feed housing (4) and a gripping piece (5), at which a proximity switch (6) is fixed. The rivet supply pipe is supported at the feed housing by a holding unit (9). A corner- or transition area is rounded in the area of a threaded outlet according to German institute for standardization 76-D. The feed housing is formed of steel consisting of manganese and chromium.
