Method for determination of amplitude and phase noise of measured object, involves determining amplitude/phase noise of measurement signal by cross-correlation of amplitude/phase of complex signals, respectively
The method involves splitting a measurement signal in real signals produced by a measured object, using a dispatcher (1), and scanning the real signals by analog to digital converters (3-1, 3-2). Complex signals are produced by mixing scanned signals with two signals standing in quadrature to each other. Amplitude and phase of the complex signals are determined. Amplitude noise of the measurement signal is determined by cross-correlation of the amplitude of the complex signals. Phase noise of the measurement signal is determined by cross-correlation of the phase of the complex signals. An independent claim is also included for a device for simultaneous determination of amplitude and phase noise of a measured object.
