The walker (1) has a handle (4) connected to a chassis for moving the walker by a user. Front- and rear rolling units (6a, 6b) are swingably attached to the chassis such that the rolling units are movable on a surface. The rolling units are arranged such that center of gravity of the user is found between the rolling units when the user moves the walker using the handle. An open region is formed in a front portion of the walker in a rolling direction to accommodate the user. Each rear rolling unit includes a parking brake (16) acting on a wheel of the rear rolling unit.
