Dual clutch transmission for passenger car, has cooler connected downstream of pump, and switching valve connected downstream of cooler for supplying hydraulic medium flow to volume control valve and tank in respective switching conditions
The transmission (2) has a pump (9) for conveying hydraulic medium flow from a tank (3) i.e. storage tank, and a cooler (183) for cooling the medium flow. A volume control valve (185) e.g. 3/2-directional valve, is connected downstream of the pump for adjusting the flow for cooling systems (221, 223) attached to respective clutches (K1, K2). The control valve supplies the flow to the cooling systems in respective extremal conditions. A switching valve is connected downstream of the cooler for supplying the flow to the control valve and the tank in respective switching conditions. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a dual clutch transmission.
