The tool (10) has a stop (16) arranged around a portion of a body (14), where an end cap (22) is attached at an end of the body. An axial movement of a tapered piston in a direction causes an exhaust area of the tapered piston to contact with a piston engagement surface of an insert cartridge. The axial movement of the tapered piston in another direction causes a retracting surface of the piston to contact with a drawing surface of the insert cartridge such that the insert cartridge is moved in a radially inwardly extending direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing grooves in a hole of a workpiece.
