摘要

The method involves enriching a gas component to be measured with a nitrogen oxide stored material during a measurement interval. A physical variable e.g. electrical resistance and complex impedance, of the stored material in a relation with a change in total quantity of the gas component is measured and derived according to time. A relation between the variable and a total quantity is computed linearly by a semi-logarithmic plot. The variable and the total quantity are combined as a sensor signal that is utilized for indirect determination of a time curve of a flow of the gas component. An independent claim is also included for a device for direct measurement of an integrated and accumulated total quantity and concentration of a gas component in a gas mixture and indirect determination of a time curve of a flow of the gas component.
