Method of the evaluation of the quality of the riveting of the assemblies riveted and device for implementation

The method involves providing a riveted assembly (12) comprising two opposite faces and a rivet (10) installed through the assembly, where one end of the rivet is provided with a circular cylindrical head (20) supported against one of the opposite faces and another end (22) of the rivet is supported against the other opposed face for forming a rivet joint (34). Driving torque is measured in rotation of the cylindrical head with respect to the assembly to determine axial stresses exerted in the rivet and evaluate riveting quality. An independent claim is also included for a device for evaluating riveting quality of a riveted assembly, comprising a dynamometer.
