The apparatus has a container (1) for containing food i.e. cheese. A base plate (2) supports the container. The base plate is equipped with a heating unit. A clearnce compensating device is provided on the base plate in removable or dismountable manner, and is provided with a clearnce compensating plate (3) that is equipped with multiple boxes (30). The plate is assembled and fixed on the base plate, where the plate is made of wood. A cursor (4) is assembled around the base plate. The base plate is formed with a tubular peripheral wall (22). An independent claim is also included for a kit comprising a table cooking apparatus provided with charts.
