The assembly has a locking device locking a bonnet (1) of a motor vehicle. The locking device includes a locking plate (4) to be locked with a lock (5) and fixed to a rigid part (6) of a vehicle body. The locking plate is connected to an inner face of the bonnet by two metal legs (8, 9) spaced from each other along longitudinal direction (X) of the vehicle, where the legs are deformable upon impact of a pedestrian on the bonnet. One of the legs is located at the front of the other leg and folded to form V-shape with apex (10) directed toward the latter leg.
