The table has rear and front flaps (2, 4), each defined by two rear longitudinal edges and front longitudinal edges. A connection pivot (5) includes a link (6) equipped with a spring element (25) and comprises guiding parts rolled on a part of the circumference of a section of a rod (7). The guiding parts exert constriction around the section of the rod so as to apply friction force to the rod to increase torque required for rotation of the rod with respect to a bearing surface (14) and obtain braking in rotation of the front flap during its pivoting operation.
